How can I get an inflatable snowman out from the top of a 30+ foot tall tree?

We got this 5′ snowman yesterday as a little joke from some of my parents’ friends, it was right outside our window. We have 30+ mph winds here, and the cable snapped and it went flying…

We dont have resources to get that tall of a ladder…

Sounds like it may be Christmas year around. You could borrow a ladder.

I guess rope and some kind of hook might do it, but you would probably rip it. Other than trying to use a ladder, you are going to rip it anyway due to the branches that will poke it. I would use heavier cord and something that can hook it but is softer or covered with soft material. Toss away, and when you do get it hooked, move as far away from the tree as possible to enlarge the angle in order to try to remove it more horizontally, because if not, you will just pull it further down into the limbs.
If the cable is dangling a bit, perhaps you can get to it and try to hook onto it with the cord, again moving away from tree.
I think a ladder fire truck is out of the question, since it isn’t a cat.

    Good luck.

Maybe you can coax him down with a popcicle.

Wait for another strong gust of wind. It may fall down on it’s own though too.

If nothing else works. Call the fire department. They rescue cats, why not inflatable snowmen?

Too funny. Call your local fire department. They will likely come by when they have the staff and get it out for you.

look for some one with a professional pole saw they interlock and will reach 30′ possibly call a tree service. Don’t risk falling from an extension ladder for frosty.
